    The Edge

    A Contender faces a Gladiator on a padded grid 30 feet above the arena floor with a safety net underneath. The Contender must cross the grid and reach the opposite side without being knocked off by the Gladiator who can block, tackle and push them off if they get close enough. For each crossing, Contenders can earn 2 points, with a maximum of 10 points available if they manage to stay on the grid for the full 60 seconds of the game.

    The Eliminator

    This is the final head-to-head race between the two Contenders. The Contender with the higher score gets a head start based on the points difference - each point equals a 0.5 second head start. For example, a 4 point lead equals a 2 second advantage. The first Contender to complete the nine different obstacles and burst through the paper wins the Eliminator and the show.

    Duel

    The Contender and Gladiator are set on high podiums and face-off with pugil sticks, as they try to knock their opponent off, whilst avoiding being knocked off themselves. Contenders earn 10 points for knocking the Gladiator off; 5 points for staying up, and 0 points if they end up on the crash mat before the 30 seconds are up.

    Hang Tough

    Contender and Gladiator start on platforms at opposite ends of the arena and begin a game of aerial chess played 4 metres above the arena floor.  In between them are 60 rings.  On the whistle both competitors move towards each other by swinging and traversing the rings.  The Contenders objective is to reach the Gladiators platform while the Gladiator is trying to wrench them from the rings to the crash mats below.

    The Wall

    Two Contenders race to climb a 10 meter high wall, while trying to avoid being pulled off the wall by the Gladiators chasing after them.  The first Contender to the top within the time gets 10 points; the second gets 5 points. Any Contenders remaining on the wall after the 60 seconds are up gets 5 points. Contenders who fall or who are removed by the Gladiators get 0 points.

    Unleashed

    The Contender has a head start on a running track, which sees them sprinting, whilst navigating obstacles, to reach a hanging flag at the end of the course. But they must outrun the pursuing Gladiator, who is trying to steal the tag hanging from the Contender’s back.  If the Contender grabs the hanging flag with their own tag intact, they earn 10 points; if they finish the course with their tag intact but miss the hanging flag, they earn 5 points.

    Powerball

    Both Contenders play at the same time, where the aim is to place their colour ball into any of the five scoring pods, while facing three Gladiators who are trying to tackle them as far away from the pods as possible. The Contenders have 60 seconds to score as many points as they can - each ball scored in an outer pod earns 2 points, and balls in the central pod will earn 3 points.

    Gauntlet

    The Contender has 20 seconds to run the Gauntlet, which consists of 5 zones, each guarded by a Gladiator. Contenders earn 2 points for each zone passed, with a maximum of 10 points for completing the Gauntlet.

    Atlaspheres
    35%

    Both Contenders and two Gladiators start inside huge metal ‘Atlaspheres’. Once the game starts, they must all roll down their ramps and crash in the middle before scoring can start. The Contenders score points by rolling over as many pods as they can, while the Gladiators try to stop them by crashing into them and sending them off course. Contenders earn 2 points for each pod they roll over in 60 seconds.

    The Ring

    Two Contenders and two Gladiators go head-to-head in a game of tough tackling. Contenders must attempt to press the button in the centre of The Ring as many times as possible within 60 seconds, while Gladiators try to stop them. Each button press earns Contenders 2 points.

    Collision
    25%

    For 60 seconds the Contender must carry a ball from one platform across a suspension bridge to another platform and throw it into a scoring net, while avoiding the four Gladiators swinging in on trapezes on either side of the bridge. Each ball scored earns 2 points, and the Contender must be on the platform to score. 2 points will be deducted if the Contender returns to the same platform they have just left.
